stochastix was founded in 2000 by Jens Thiel and incorporated as a privately-held limited company in 2001. The initial focus was on consulting german banks and SME facing changes due to Basle II.
In 2003, Jens developed ManagedXLL independent of stochastix. The software was succesfully marketed to investment banks and hedge funds worldwide. At the end of 2004, he acquired all outstanding shares and repositioned stochastix to service an international market.
Jens Thiel has studied computer sciences at Bonn University specialising on computational finance and software engineering. Before founding stochastix, he has worked as an independent contractor for several german banks and companies. Jens is an ISO 9000 certified Quality Manager.
